Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide

Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW) is an international network of environmental lawyers, scientists and other environmentally committed individuals. It is a non-governmental organization with its administrative headquarters in Eugene, USA. ELAW helps initiatives and communities work for clean air, clean water, and a healthy planet.

Environmental and human rights lawyers organized in ELAW worldwide do not only conduct proceedings against governments and are increasingly exposed to repression, but they also track down projects, products and practices that are linked to German companies, the German government or German funds and finance. The declared goal of GLI is to use and strengthen the ELAW network and to increase the political impact of foreign proceedings related to Germany. At the same time – in accordance with ELAW’s mission – law enforcement in the global South is to be supported.
